COMMON THREAD //

BRITISH COUNCIL + THE ANOU

A short film made for the British Council about UK designer Sabrina Kraus López's residency with Anou artisans in the Atlas Mountains in Morocco, collaborating on new designs and approaches based on Amazigh’s traditional weaving techniques. Over a one-month period, Sabrina worked with six artisans to create the Common Thread collection, a series of bespoke hand woven rugs inspired by Berber’s heritage, surroundings and personal stories.

The film and photographs outcomes were displayed at designjunction, as part of London Design Festival 2014 in an exhibition curated by Faculty.
